JFI: Banana Roundup Part 1

It is time for the JFI:Banana Roundup and I am excited to present the unique and varied entries using Banana (raw and ripe), Plantain, Banana flower, and Banana stem.

After much debating, I am presenting the roundup in two parts for easy navigation. Part 1 includes Plantains, Banana Flower and Banana Stem Recipes. Part 2 includes all Banana recipes.

  2. Mandira - what a roundup! I cannot even imagine what other cuisine besides our Indian (maybe other Asian countries) have such a multiple use of bananas/plaintains in their food. Lovely creations from everyone! Looking forward to the next round!

    Awesome roundup. So sorry I couldn't participate. I just didn't have the time, and my poor banana's sat on the counter and turned BLACK!

    Mallika Try the Indian, Asian or Caribbean store for Kanch Kola. There are many recipes to choose from :)
